Kyosho Mini-Z MR-04 Readyset drops the Jaguar XJR-14 LM

Kyosho has officially brought the MR-04 chassis to the Readyset lineup with the release of the Mini-Z MR-04 RWD Jaguar XJR-14 LM 1991 No.4, making next-generation Mini-Z performance easier to access than ever.

This Readyset upgrades drivers from the MR-03 platform to the 4th-generation MR-04 chassis, first introduced in 2023. The MR-04 features a lower center of gravity, improved steering geometry, and sharper handling, delivering a noticeable performance boost right out of the box.

The highlight of this release is the Jaguar XJR-14 LM body, inspired by the legendary 1991 Group C-era XJR-14 No. 4 (Chassis 591), a car that claimed victory at the Monza World Sportscar Championship. Known for its aggressive aerodynamics and low-slung prototype design, the XJR-14 remains an iconic silhouette in endurance racing, making it a perfect match for Mini-Z racing and display alike.

As with all Kyosho Readysets, everything comes fully assembled. Just add 4 AAA batteries to the car and transmitter and you’re ready to drive. The setup includes a 130-class brushed motor, full ball bearings, a gear differential, and the reliable Syncro KT-531P transmitter, with a body finished to display-model quality.

This release should be hitting your local hobby store very soon, and the MR-04 chassis remains compatible with a wide range of MINI-Z optional parts, making this a strong entry point for newcomers and a solid platform for future upgrades.
